Federal reserve

The Federal Reserve is the central bank of the United States. Established in 1913, the Federal Reserve is the product of several banking panics in the United States particularly the banking panic of 1907. The Fed oversees the monetary base and sets interest rates in response to the current economic state of the US economy.
