Thin market

A thin market is the result of low liquidity on any given market. The small presence of buyers and sellers results in a very volatile market. However, most traders prefer a thin market to take advantage of extreme volatility. A volatile market often results in huge currency or security movements and if well leveraged, it delivers better than expected profits to traders.
