Annapurna Option

The name is not directly connected to the hindu goddess of cooking and food in anyway. It is a type of exotic financial derivative that has a fixed coupon rate that depends on the poor performing group of the derivative's underlying basket of securities. The Investor will receive a higher coupon payment if the worst-performing stock on its underlying portfolio takes longer to reach the predetermined low point.
