Baby berkshire

The aquisition of the railway company Burlington Northern Santa Fe by Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway class B stock resulted into a 50:1 stock split. This is the result of the class B shares of Berkshire having to take the spot of Burlington Northern in the S&P 500 market index. Baby berkshire refers to the price of the stock lowered as a result of the down split.
