Buy and homework

An investment practice coined by stock evangelist and TV host Jim Cramer noting the buy and hold ideology is a blind way to invest. Rather, buying a stock requires an intelligent and researched exit point by keeping updated on the company's balance sheet, attending conference calls and scouting news about the company. Buying and holding without doing any research sometimes makes an investor lose money by missing out with major events about the stock owned.
