Calendar effect

This is a theory where stocks behave a certain way during a noted calendar event such as October, December, Mondays etc. Most investors consider that the month of October is notorious for hosting the greatest and painful stock market crashes such as the one during the great depression and the crash of 1987. Thus the term october effect is born.
