Capital asset

In accounting, these are the least liquid assets that the company owns and are a contributing factor to the company's ability on generating profits. Assets like machineries, land, buildings are prime examples and adds value to the assets section on the balance sheet. These assets are only liquidated as a last ditch effort to save the company or liquidating the firm.
