Great depression

A grand recession that occured from 1929 to well before the start of the Second World War. The economic depression is a direct result of money supply shortage in the midst of an expanding economic activity. During the depression, stock markets fell, banking systems were crushed, people and businesses are all short on cash. For a brief history on the great depression click here.
