Insider trading

A trading scenario where an individual who has direct access to non public information about the company is involved in the speculation of own stock. This kind of activity is illegal if the information whether good or bad is already out for the public to see. However, trading in advance to anticipate a likely result from information gathered internally without public knowledge is illegal.
