Secondary market

Secondary market for stocks is a place where regular investors and traders can acquire shares of a company. The primary being the issuer of the stock itself, companies sell shares directly to investors bypassing stock exchanges which is the secondary market. Seconday markets are stock exchanges and primary markets are a direct purchase from the company such as an IPO.
