Sector breakdown

Sector breakdown basically defines a portfolio's investment allocation into a definitive industry. Stocks that are contained on a diversified portfolio is typically stretched out into several different sectors. This way, if an industry in the economy is in a slup, the entire portfolio is not affected too much.

Sectors are broken down into Utilities, Energy, Technology, Consumer durables, Industrials, Cyclicals, Healthcare and Financials.
