Sector rotation

The term sector rotation is a strategy implemented by portfolio managers that shifts a majority of its holdings from one sector to another. Actively managed portfolios typically exhibits this kind of strategy whereas a sector that performs or will perform poorly will be discarded for another sector that will do or currently performs very well.
