Short squeeze

Short squeeze is a market activity where the price of a stock goes higher because of an increased demand from short sellers trying to cover their position. If a stock price suddenly jumps, it will be amplified when short sellers panic and try to minimize losses by buying the stock to exit a trade. For more on short squeeze go here.
