Treasury stock

Treasury stock is type of company stock that is not counted on the company's shares outstanding. A treasury stock does not offer dividend payments and mostly used by companies as a reserve in case of a shortage in cash. Another is to be able to maintain a controlling share in the company since treasury stock is not offered to the public.
