Cup and handle is a chart pattern that is characterized by a narrow U shape followed by a downward trend. Most traders identify this pattern by ignoring sharp V shaped cups however, not a lot of traders usually pull the trigger and open a position once the handle is formed, most wait for a breakout in price from the handle.
