Adjusted gross income (AGI)

Adjusted gross income in a taxable year is the taxpayer's standard deduction that is already based and subtracted that leads to the final calculation of taxes. Qualified reductions include losses from property trades, employee business expenses, child care, alimony payments, rent expenses, or health insurance premium deductions.
