Balance sheet

A balance sheet is a snapshot of a company's financial standing and usually shows the firm's assets, liabilities and shareholder equity. Stock analysts looks at a company's balance sheet to determine its potential growth in the future, or whether the value of its assets reflects the current price of the stock that the market values. The data exposed on the balance is generally an approximation of the current financial standing of each company.
