Bang for the buck

Bang for the buck is a term that describes getting more value on a security purchased because it generates more investment returns compared to others in the group. A stock that gives a 7% yield and a high price to earnings growth ratio is said to provide more bang for the buck because of its potential returns in relation to the principal paid.
