Barron's confidence index

Barron's confidence index is an index that determines the average yield of 10 of the highest grade, high yield bonds with 10 intermediate grade bonds. This index shows whether speculative activities in the bond market are present in a significant degree or if investors are leanings towards more conservative strategies. Speculative investments are on the rise if the index rises and decreases when investors are buying high grade bonds instead.
