Bottom fishing

Bottom fishing is a practice similar to bargain hunting on most stores. The investor focuses on the company's fundamental values and benefits greatly after a major stock market sell-off. The resulting sell-off significantly reduces the market values of stocks which to most bottom fisher investors is a major opportunity to grab the stocks they deemed fundamentally sound at a now discounted price.
