Dollar cost averaging

Dollar cost averaging is the process of buying up a fixed amount of stock shares at regular intervals while prices are still low. This allows the buyer for acquire more shares at a much lower price because it reduces stock purchasing when the price is high and resumes when the stock goes back down in price.
