European Central Bank

European Central Bank (ECB) refers to the Treaty of Maastricht which established the third stage of European economic and monetary union since 1999 as the central bank of the union. A similar role to the U.S. Federal Reserve will be played controlling the basic money supply, direct foreign exchange operations and take charge for establishing a system for payments and settlements between financial institutions.
