Executor or Executrix

Executor or Executrix (female) refers to an entity charged with carrying out terms of a will by its maker. He or she accumulates the assets, pays off debts of the estate, settle taxes, and distributes the remainder to heirs. The responsibility expires when the estate matters are settled after determination by a probate court in a period of one or three years.
