Expected return

Expected Return refers to a consensus among investment experts of the percentage rate at which the stock market groes in value as shown on an annual basis. Dividends and capital appreciation are added in the estimation. The discount factor in a formula is the amount estimated using the future income stream from from stocks to calculate the present value of the market.
