Qualified stock option plan

Qualified stock option plan is a program set up by companies which allows its employees to acquire a specific amount of their stock which is usually lower than current market prices within a specified period of time. Conditions also apply to these qualified employees and allows direct involvement on company operations because they would share the same sentiment as a shareholder which may generate better productivity. Categories under this program includes the Employee stock purchase plans (ESPP) and the Incentive stock option plans (ISO).
