Variable annuity

Variable annuity contracts are insurance premiums that are converted into growth assets so that the beneficiary or annuitant recieves a variable payment depending on the value of the invested premium. Instead of a fixed income source which is very vulnerable to the uncertainty of inflation, the annuitant has the chance to beat inflation rates if the premium generated better than expected returns.
